Rescue an Unloved Quilt
My quilter buddies are going to like this. A couple of years ago, my cousin Pam made this wreath for me. She used an old, holey quilt that wasn't good for anything else, and I love it! Cut the quilt in strips, then wrap around a styrofoam wreath form, and add a bow -- that's it! You can find old, uncared-for quilts at garage sales sometimes really cheap.Another idea is to cut pieces that look okay and frame them or use it for a background for a picture. Or make a pillow with the salvageable part. This will bring a big smile to anyone who loves quilts and fabrics like I do.
Thanks, Pam! (No, that's not her husband. He's a lot more lively.)Labels: Debs, Decorate, Quilting Tip
