It's In the Bag
You've probably seen the television ads for Debbie Meyer Green Bags. I was intrigued, but I find it's normally not practical to order things that are only sold in infomercials. And besides, eventually they hit the stores if it's a good product. Sure enough, Debbie Meyer Green Bags have hit the stores -- Walgreens and CVS stores have them, and I'm sure others do to.During a time that I was too busy to go get them, my friends Mary and Doug (see picture) picked them up for me. I had just seen a consumer report on the news that said they worked, so I wanted to give
them a try.I must say, I am impressed. I just finished using some celery that has been in my fridge, in one of these bags, for at least 3 weeks. I've also tried it on lemons, lettuce, spinach and grapes, all with good results. These bags definitely prolong the life of fruits and vegetables. And they are reusable, so it'll be a while before I need to buy some more. Our local newspaper gave these bags a so-so review, but I can recommend them with no reservations.
Thanks, Mary & Doug!
