Hair Spray in the Laundry Room

Remember when I told you to save shampoo you don't like to clean the shower or bathtub? Well, save that bottle of hairspray that's not your favorite also. And put it in the laundry room. No kidding. This is the best thing for removing an ink stain from fabric.

It needs to be an alcohol-based hairspray. Put an absorbent paper towel or cloth under the stain. Spray liberally, and then blot with a clean white cloth. Repeat as many times as necessary until the stain is gone. Launder as usual. This really works, I promise.

I have also sprayed an ink stain with hair spray and thrown it into the wash, and it worked. Whether you want to try that or not depends on how attached you are to the clothing.
