Scrolling, Scrolling, Scrolling
I've just discovered another computer trick you're really going to like. For this one I would like to thank Mr. Modem! (See www.MrModem.com)
That scroll bar on the right side of your screen is usually skinny and you have to be rather precise to point your cursor at it and scroll down or up. But -- surprisingly to me -- there is a way to make it fatter and easier to grab with your mouse.
Here are the easy instructions from Mr. Modem:
- Right click on a blank area of your Windows desktop
- Click Properties
- Click the Appearance tab
- Click the Advanced button
- In the Advanced Appearance window, display the drop-down list under "Item" and select "Scrollbar" as the item you want to change.
- Increase the "Size" number to increase the width of the scroll bars. Your changes will be reflected in the little preview area at the top of the window.
- When you have sufficiently plumped up your scroll bars, click OK twice and your changes will take effect.
Want to know how I take a picture of my screen like that? Tune in later this week!
