Place Bag

Recently when I visited friends Bob and Margaret, they had this neat bag in the car. It was made by a friend of theirs, believe it or not, out of a placemat folded in half. The ends are already finished, so you just sew up the sides and add ribbon for handles. In this case, she also added trim around the top, but some placemats are already decorated on the ends. I can't wait to look for some cute placemats on sale (of course) and make some of these. You can use them for keeping your coupons in the car, hang on the back door for things you're taking with you, or whatever else you can think of. It would make a cute reuseable gift bag, too.
