Snack Bars

Never leave home without it - a snack, that is. I always have an emergency snack in my purse, and this keeps me out of fast food joints. Here are my favorites. Keep in mind that mine have to be wheat-free.
The Boomi Bar comes in different flavors, but the best, in my opinion is Almond Protein Plus. It is very pure, made of only Almonds, Honey, and Whey Protein Isolate, in that order.
The Lara Bar is made up of only fruits and nuts. Different flavors, all delicious, but not much protein. These are the best for strict vegetarians.
The Karma Bar is my guilty pleasure. It also comes in several flavors, but to me the Double Chocolate flavor (with chocolate chips) is almost like having a candy bar. It's not as pure and
healthy as the others, but not too bad for you either. Eat this one over a plate or napkin, because the chocolate chips fall off -- and you don't want to lose even one!Warning: Taste is in the mouth of the beholder. The ones I love, Dear Hubby hates, and vice versa. So just buy one at a time until you've taste tested.
I stock up on these as they go on sale. You can find them at grocery stores and/or health food stores. I hope you'll find at least one that you love.
