CO Alarm

You may not think you need another alarm in your house, but if you have a working fireplace, or gas or propane fueled appliances, YOU DO! In these situations, a Carbon Monoxide Detector/Alarm is essential.
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colorless, odorless gas that can kill you if it collects in your home and goes undetected. Many situations, including a running car, will produce CO.
Though our home is mostly electric, we do have a gas fireplace. So we have a CO alarm in place, and that gives me more peace of mind.
To learn a lot more about this, go to this link from the Consumer Product Safety Commission:

This is a good website with good, clearly explained information.
