Fireproof

For this week's Friday Night Movie, I'm recommending that you get out of the house and go to the theater. Last weekend, we saw the new movie Fireproof, and it was good! As a matter of fact, our local theater was sold out all day Saturday. We bought our tickets ahead and stood in a long line to get in Saturday night. We all actually applauded at the end of the movie! How often does that happen?
I'll warn you, this movie is blatantly Christian. It's made by the same church that made "Facing the Giants" (also a good rental recommendation). The production quality is not as high as the big multi-million dollar blockbusters, but it's good, and the story line is great. You can wait until it comes out on video, but it's really good to support movies like these so they'll make more.
I'd say, if you're married, or ever want to be, go - go - go see this movie. Dear Hubby and I loved it. If you'd like to see more details, go to www.fireproofthemovie.com. You can also buy the related book, The Love Dare, in bookstores.
